It’s Dragon Season once again, and many parents, students and sports fans are looking for the best ways to get their Dragon pride on. If you’re wondering how you could get into the sporting spirit, not to worry: here are nine easy ways to get the true Dragon football experience.
- Get to know and get behind this year’s key players by reading Dragon Pride. You cheer loudest when you know whom you are cheering for.
- Wear green — unless it’s Pink-out Night (on October 11 this season).
- Pick up a few green poms for the little ones and a cowbell or two to pump up the adults.
- Buy your tickets online. Time saved can be best used visiting the legendary home game tailgates. Dragon fans get really into them, like Scott Hall.
- Halftime is not for bathroom breaks. The band and the Emerald Belles, hot off of “America’s Got Talent,” put on performances that are not to be missed.
- Download The Word 100.7 FM app and listen to the live game and post-game broadcasts featuring former Dragon great Justin Padron.
- Need more commentary? Make sure you are following the right accounts on Twitter, like @SLCAthletics and @SLCDragonFB, for some serious play-by-play.
- One Southlake tradition deserves another. Grab a sandwich from Feedstore BBQ at the concession stand before finding your seat.
- Come early, stay late and cheer loudly to fully embrace the meaning of Dragon pride!
