2017 5-6A All-District Football Team Announced

District 5-6A showed its competitive nature yet again inbr2017. The Trinity Trojans took the district title followed by Hebron andbrCarroll respectfully.  Together the triobrled the charge into the UIL Playoffs with Trinity (11-3) and Carroll (10-4)brmaking lengthy runs to the quarterfinals. 

At the culmination of the season the 5-6A All-District Teamsbrwere announced. Hebron quarterback Clayton Tune took home district MVP honorsbrwhile Trinity running back Courage Keihn was named Offensive MVP.

 Led by Jacob Doddridge who was a unanimous first teambrselection as both a tight end and a defensive end, the Dragons were recognizedbrwith 24 All-District honorees.  

Inbraddition to Doddridge, Dragon first team offensive selections included;brquarterback Will Bowers, running back TJ McDaniel, receivers Cade Bell andbrHudson Shrum, offensive linemen Jackson Kimble, Henry Mossberg, and MatthewbrLeehan.

Firstbrteam All-District defensive selections included safety R.J. Mickens,brlinebackers Michael Parrish and Ryan Thompson, and the aforementionedbrDoddridge.

Thebrfuture appears to be bright for Wasson's 2018 squad as a majority of thebrhonorees were underclassmen. In total 13 Dragon juniors and sophomores made thebrlist led by four unanimous first-team selections in Henry Mossberg, TJbrMcDaniel, Michael Parrish and RJ Mickens.
