After another tough physical win 42-35 over the McKinney Lions, the Dragons (13-0) move on to face Denton Guyer (13-0) in a matchup of undefeated, nationally ranked teams.
Led by five-star quarterback Jackson Arnnold, Denton Guyer is ranked 12th in the nation according to MaxPreps because it has one of the most prolific offenses in the country. An Oklahoma commit, Arnold just needs 48 yards to surpass 3,000 yards passing on the season. He’s already thrown for 31 touchdowns and just three interceptions this season.
Of course, the Dragons have an amazing offense of their own and are currently ranked 23rd in the nation. Quarterback Graham Knowles is coming off his best passing game of the season against McKinney, where he threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns. He and his top target Jacob Jordan (61 receptions, 1,156 yards and 16 TDs) are peaking at the right time.
Saving the best for last behind an omnipresent offensive line, Owen Allen has been virtually unstoppable. The senior captain now sits atop the 6A area rushing leaders with 1,977 yards and 35 touchdowns on the season.
Considered one of the top games in the country, the teams will square off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at Northwest ISD Stadium, located at 1937 Texan Drive in Justin. The game will also be televised on Channel 33. Tickets can be purchased online for $5-$10.
