On Friday, DragonbrFootball will play the scheduled 7 p.m. game in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. However,brstudent support groups—Dragon Band, Emerald Belles, CREW and cheerleaders—willbrnot travel to Oklahoma as previously planned. The charter bus companybroriginally reserved for student groups will instead be used by FEMA for the statewidebrand regional emergency caused by Hurricane Harvey.
“The challenges we facebrregarding Friday night football are in no way comparable to the tragic eventsbrunfolding in communities south of us. We want to be sure that the state hasbrevery available resource it needs to take care of the emergency at hand,” superintendentbrDr. David Faltys said in an email to Dragon families. “The state/federalbrgovernment needs every available resource it can find to help our neighbors andbrfellow Texans. We support and understand the severity of that need.”

Ifbryou paid by cash or check, email Taylor Fielder in the Carroll ISD AthleticbrOffice at Taylor.Fielder@southlakecarroll.edu. CISD willbrissue a full refund to those who purchased tickets and will no longer be goingbras a result of this decision.

Watch for details onbrOzarka, Carroll ISD and Rockwall ISD teaming up at the September 15 Dragon homebrgame to collect supplies and bottled water to send to the Houston area.
