With senior wide receiver Brady Boyd out with a wrist injury, junior tight end RJ Maryland was one of the offensive players that stepped up for the team. The son of former Dallas Cowboys player Russell Maryland, RJ had an impressive game during Week 2 despite Southlake Carroll’s loss.
The tight end caught four passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns, an outing that led him to being our second Dragon Pride Player of the Week, sponsored by Thomas & Sharon Michael | DFW Elite Realty, for the 2020 season.
