If you're a Dragon Youth Footbll fan, volunteer, or parent, you may have noticed something different today. A new website face went live today at DragonYouthFootball.net. In addition to the new website, the organization opened 2015-16 registration, as well as registration for this year's golf tournament fundraiser.
"The new face is fresh, interactive and media-friendly," said Jolyn Potenza, Dragon Youth Football's director of fundraising.
The new DYF website redesign project stems from past feedback received from player families and DYF sponsors according to Scott Coburn, who was chiefly responsible for the rehabilitation and redesign. He added, some necessary improvements were made to the overall user experience on the website.
"The general consensus was that the DYF website did not match the organization's level of quality that it has worked so hard to build in a tradition-rich community like Southlake," said Coburn, who is the founder and CEO of his company, ProV3 Media. "We really needed a website that would serve as a good resource for the families of our players, providing useful team and league information as well as important safety and equipment content."
A secondary objective for the new website design was to provide an improved platform by which DYF could showcase its valuable sponsors and their businesses or organizations.
Coburn said the DYF website gets a substantial amount of traffic before and during the season.
"Our desire was to provide better marketing value for our sponsors through better presentation of their products and services to our website visitors," he said.
Coburn's ProV3 Media is an interactive marketing agency based in Dallas. Coburn is a long-time Southlake resident and supporter of Dragon Youth Football.
The DYF board of directors and ProV3 Media collaborated on the website redesign project, which took around six weeks to complete. The initial feedback on the new website design has been extremely positive, Coburn said, and the hope is players and their families will continue to use the website even more as the group's organizers continue to publish relevant and useful DYF-related content.
Registration for Dragon Youth Football is open now through Aug. 9. The second annual golf tournament is at Timarron Country Club on Aug. 31. Registration for that is also open. More information to come on the tournament right here on Southlake Style's website soon.
