Kenny Do It Again? - 13 reasons we say YES!
Reigning Texas 5A player of the year and two-time Dragon Pride cover man, senior quarterback Kenny Hill is Doing It Again. He was recently selected as the 2012-13 Gatorade Texas Football Player of the Year according to a press release.
Originally established by in 1985 the highly prestigious annual award from Gatorade recognizes one male and one female in twelve sports ranging from football to volleyball, cross country and soccer, for outstanding athletic excellence, as well as, high academic standards and exemplary character on and off the field.
As a "State Player of the Year" Hill automatically becomes a finalist for Gatorade's National Football Player of the Year and National Athlete of the Year award to be announced in December. Past recipients of the later include such well known athletes as; Lebron James, Dwight Howard, and fellow Texas football stars Garrett Gilbert and Johnathan Gray.
Already agreeing to attend Texas A&M to play both football and baseball, Kenny continues to pace the State Champions as they square off against Euless Trinity this coming Saturday.
On the year Kenny has accounted for 63% of the Dragon offense, throwing for 26 touchdowns (only 2 INTs) and running for another 28 while compiling 4,117 total yards.
