By June, Dragons throughout the city will be packing up their school supplies for the summer. However, school is still in session for Dragon footballers who are ready, willing and able to learn how to Protect the Tradition.
And who better to learn from than newly minted Head Football Coach and Dragon great Riley Dodge? As a quarterback in 2006 and 2007, Dodge accounted for 8,642 yards passing, 3,062 yards rushing and 144 total touchdowns while helping to lead the Dragons to the 2006 state championship.
“Kids will learn the basic fundamentals and techniques of football. While getting great coaching from the [Dragon ] Varsity Staff,” says Dodge about the camps which will be held at Dragon Stadium.
Session 1 for 1st-6th graders (entering the 2018 school year) will be held from June 5-7 from 8:30am-11:30am. The second session for 7th-9th graders will be held July 16-18 from 8:30-11:30am.
“Our goal for our young Dragons this summer is to learn the basic schemes of our offense and defense. So they have a great blueprint going into the next school year! We're also going to have a blast doing it!” says Coach Dodge.
If your pre-varsity Dragons are ready to take the challenge, pre-registration is highly encouraged and available via the form below. Camp fees are $150 per child ($160 walk up) and include a camp t-shirt.
