Quinn Ewers Named No. 1 Recruit For 2022 By 'DMN'

Last year, Brady Boyd was named to DMN’s Top 50 Recruits list.

Quinn Ewers is officially on top. The junior quarterback was named the No. 1 prospect in ‘Dallas Morning News’’ list of Top 50 Recruits for 2022. 

“In Ewers – a 6-foot-3, Ohio State pledge with an arm that makes even the most difficult throws look effortless – it doesn’t take long to see why he’s universally considered one of the best recruits in the country,” the newspaper notes. 

Ewers is currently committed to Ohio State University after decommitting from Texas this summer. During the 2020 season, part of which he was out for with an injury, Ewers threw 159 completions for 2,442 yards and 28 touchdowns. 

Fellow juniors RJ Maryland and Landon Samson are also part of the Top 50 Recruits list. Maryland is ranked at No. 23 and Samson is ranked at No. 41.
