7/8 Lady Dragons take down top two seeds and win League Championship
Going into the playoffs as the #4 seed, the 7/8 Lady Dragons Lacrosse team were relishing their underdog role. Their first hurdle on the championship road was a seminfinal match in the challenging environment of Highlander Stadium. By the time the night was over, the Lady Dragons had upset the top-seeded Highland Park team to claim a 12-9 victory.
That victory placed them in the Championship game against #2 seeded Keller just 18 hours later. The Lady Dragons successfully defended their home North Park field and earned a 14-9 victory and the North Texas Youth Lacrosse League Championship.
The Lady Dragons are coached by Sam Miocic, Pete and Kris Lothes.
