Senior Griffin Herring, committed to Louisiana State University, struck out nine batters while only allowing two hits during Game 1. Fellow senior Owen Proksch, committed to Duke University, followed up by striking out 10 batters with only four hits allowed during Game 2.
With these wins in the rearview mirror, the Dragons (32-8) are now set to take on Fort Bend Ridge (35-5) at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 10, in Round Rock. If they win, the team will then go on to the 6A championship game set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.
