A team of Southlake-area 12U baseball players visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York over the summer.
The Dragon Dreamers were there to compete in the annual Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament, along with 76 other 12-and-under teams from around the country. Through five rounds of pool play, the Dragon Dreamers went 3-2 and became the 26th seed in the bracket. After going 6-0 in bracket play, they secured a berth in the championship game against the No. 1-seeded team from Pennsylvania. In the final game, they defeated Beaver Valley 11-5, winning the championship trophy.
