Southlake Carroll Dragon Lacrosse, Midfielder
In one word, Dragon Pride is: Excellence
How did your love for the sport begin? I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade. It gave me an opportunity to do a sport with a lot of my friends.
I joined the team because: I have played in the youth program and I knew kids who played on the HS team and really enjoyed it. I also love the sport and cannot imagine playing anything else.
Why do you have Dragon Pride? I have been a Dragon since kindergarten. Growing up in Southlake there are a lot of things to be proud of and proud to be able to take part in—like the excellent school system and sports teams.
How do you show your Dragon Pride? I show my pride by always trying to be my best and represent my community.
What is your pre-game ritual? I usually listen to rap music.
Hours spent training each week: 12 hours.
Favorite classes in school: AP Environmental sciences and calculus.
Future plans: I plan to major in finance in college.
Most challenging part of being a non-UIL athlete: Not having access to our school facilities or getting the recognition like the other sports.
Most rewarding part: Being part of a great team and the friendships I have made.
Biggest influence: my Dad.
