Southlake Carroll's Kennedy Fuller has added another accolade to her list of accomplishments. The freshman was named Soccer Player of the Year by “The Dallas Morning News."
In her first year with the team, Fuller scored 26 goals and had 15 assists, according to the Lady Dragons' website. During the state championship game, she achieved a hat trick by scoring three of the team’s four goals and was named the game’s MVP.
Fuller has also been named to the University Interscholastic League’s 6A Girls All-Tournament Team, the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches’ Midfielders First Team All-State and was named the District MVP.
“The Dallas Morning News” also recognized freshman Hannah Jordan, who was named the Newcomer of the Year, and Hanna Khan, who was named to the newspaper’s All-Area First Team.
This season, the Lady Dragon soccer team went 22-1-4, winning their third state championship.
