Local Businesses Team Up for $1.3M Grand Slam Home
Thanks to Chuck Cole of Cole Luxury Homes, thebrTexas Rangers Baseball Foundation will soon have even more funds to improve thebrlives of young area baseball fans with disabilities. Cole, a third-generationbrhome builder, brought together a team of leaders from community-minded localbrbusinesses, including First National Bank of Southlake Town Square, Randy WhitebrReal Estate Services, Park Place Dealerships and Designs by K to deliver whatbrhe calls the Grand Slam Home — a 5,900-square-foot luxury residence. Proceedsbrfrom the sale of the home will go to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
Oncebrcompleted, the $1.3 million, four bedroom, four-and-a-half bath Colleyville homebrwill feature a wine gallery, library with fireplace and bar, reading nook, broutdoor kitchen, master retreat, bonus room, sunken courtyard and four-carbrgarage.
“We are inbrthe business of building dream homes,” said Cole, founder and president of ColebrLuxury Homes. “I get great joy out of watching someone's dream come true, but Ibralso have a tremendous desire to give back to our community. Building the GrandbrSlam Home and then donating all the proceeds to the Texas Rangers BaseballbrFoundation is a great way to achieve both.”
To mark the occasion,brTexas Rangers All-Star reliever Joe Nathan and Ranger Hall of Famer JimbrSundberg joined Colleyville Mayor David Kelly, community leaders and MiraclebrLeague executives in a baseball-theme groundbreaking. Nathan caught thebrceremonial first pitches from Dan Richter, a fire-balling Miracle League pitcher.br
“For me, it'sbreasy,” Nathan said. “I live down the block. It's an honor not only to welcome abrnew family to Colleyville and into this new home, but also to bring a lot ofbrmoney to the foundation. The foundation does a lot for the DFW area, so it'sbrgreat to be a part of a worthy cause.” Mayor Kelly also expressed hisbradmiration for the event.
“This is abrgreat opportunity for the city of Colleyville to welcome a new resident and tobrpartner with the Texas Rangers organization to help kids,” he said.
