Bayley Trang became a back-to-back state champion during the UIL wrestling state tournament over the weekend.
Winning in her weight class of 110 pounds, the junior becomes the first two-time state champion in the Southlake Carroll wrestling program's history.
Also at the state meet, senior Cole Bennett earned second place in his match, while senior Pete Etheredge claimed third place. Meanwhile, senior Rebecca Natvig came in fourth place and sophomore Brenna Trang earned fifth place.
Overall, the girls team took fourth place, which is the highest finish ever for the team, while the boys team came in 12th place.
