Last year, the first-ever Dragon Madness proved to be a hit. Pep rally turned dunk contest, the event had everyone cheering and laughing. This year, it's back with some new twists.
On November 26, be sure to pack Carroll Senior High School's gym for a night you won't soon forget. Games, food and the opportunity to meet the varsity boys and girls team are all on evening's agenda. Of course, the portion that got everyone talking last year was the epic dunk contest between Lady Dragon assistant coach Whitney Long, CSHS principal Shawn Duhon, then-athletic director Darren Allman and varsity boys head basketball coach Eric McDade. This year is just as promising, with a 3-point shooting contest featuring head football coach Riley Dodge and other Dragon celebrities.
Last year also marked the beginning of the Carroll Crazies – a student spirit squad that keeps the crowd pumped at home basketball games. This year, the first 100 high school students (9th-12th grade) to sign up for the Carroll Crazies will get a special 2018 Carroll Crazies basketball jersey.
Doors open 5:45 p.m. with Carroll Crazies sign up staring at 6 p.m. The free, family-friendly event kicks off at 6:30. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for the basketball programs. Get hyped and come support Dragon Basketball.
