The Lady Dragons Swim and Dive team took home the 4-6A district title last weekend.
According to the Dragon Sports Network, the Lady Dragons came out first at the 4-6A district meet, capturing gold medals in both the 200 medley and the 400 free relays while finishing second in the 200 free relay. The team scored 199, advancing 25 of 36 potential swimmers to the Region 1 meet in Midland on Feb 9-10.
The meet got off to a strong start as the Lady Dragons swept the 4-6A diving championship. Natalie Stubbs took the individual title, followed by Regan Evans in the silver medal position and Melina Michaelides in bronze for the podium sweep. Sophia Borowski finished just off the podium, advancing to the Region 1 meet.
The Dragon boys team also had a notable victory, finishing second at the 4-6A meet, where they won the 200 medley relay and finished in the silver medal position in the 200 free and 400 free relays. On the boys team, 21 of 36 potential swimmers advanced to the Region 1 meet, as well as divers Nathan Stone and Jack Ma, who finished in second and fourth place, respectively.
