Mental health & Athletes
Tuesday, May 23 | 7:00pm -8:30 pm
Investing in our mental health has become more necessary and more discussed amongst athletes today than in the past. We are fortunate to have many athletes at all levels speaking up about mental health and the importance of it in sports and life.
Join Dr. Nina Rios-Doria as she hosts a mental health discussion that includes a panel of former professional athletes including former PGA player James Nitties, former Texas Ranger Craig Gentry, former Dallas Cowboy Tony Casillas, and former NFL player Louis Trinca-Pasat. They will be addressing overcoming injury, transitioning out of their sport, dealing with daily pressures, and more when playing sports and how it affected their mental health. There will be opportunities to ask questions at the end of this discussion.
High school, college aged students, and parents are welcome to attend this event.
May is mental health awareness month. Let us continue to keep the dialogue open and discuss and invest in our mental health. Cost is $10 per person and registration is required.
