So whether you want to spend it in the water or escaping to a colder time of the year, there's a family-friendly event perfect for your clan this weekend.
Lap up the family fun by swimming over to NRH2O's Dive-In Movie this Friday. Guests can float in the wave pool and watch one of hottest Disney Pixar hits: “Coco.” The film will start rolling at dusk, but come out early to reserve your spot in the water. Niall Horan: Flicker World Tour 2018
Whether your kids were originally 1D fans or came to know the singers after the band split, one thing is for sure: people are head over heels for these pop stars. So take advantage of Niall Horan's upcoming visit to the Dos Equis Pavilion on Friday by grabbing a few seats for your family. You can either get a seat near the stage in hopes of seeing the blonde heartthrob up close or bring out a blanket and some games to make an afternoon out of summertime event.
Sharks are swimming back into the spotlight, in the best way possible. Discovery Channel will kick off this year's Shark Week on July 22, so in preparation for the fun ahead, the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park is hosting their fourth annual Shark Days. From Friday to Sunday, guests can come out to learn about sharks and stingrays, study shark conservation, feed stingrays, create shark crafts and participate in a themed scavenger hunt. Daily general admission runs $8 for adults and $6 for kids, and it's bound to be a boatload of fun.
When the temperatures are this high, it's easy to dream about colder weather. Escape to the holiday season by stopping by Bishop Arts District's third annual Christmas in July. This Saturday and Sunday, locals can get in the Christmas spirit by “ice” skating in the Lockhart Smokehouse parking lot (available on Saturday only), taking photos with Santa and his elves at The Laughing Willow, enjoying holiday treats throughout the district and much more. Your kids will love the story time hosted by Mrs. Claus herself on Sunday. And you will love seeing your kids getting excited about Christmas all over again.
For those who want to catch “Coco,” but want to stay dry while watching the movie, come out to the Toyota Music Factory on Sunday to enjoy Pix on the Plaza. They will also be showing the new Disney Pixar classic in their outdoor plaza. With free parking and a dog-friendly environment, everyone can have a great time while watching the movie. Check out one of the surrounding restaurants before grabbing your seat to make the most out of your night.
