Still searching for Saturday plans? There is a family-friendly festival with your name on it. Now all you have to do is decide what you are doing with your loved ones this weekend.
Keller Farmers Market and the Keller Parks and Recreation Department are joining forces to create a tasty festival to promote a good cause. On Friday and Saturday, locals can come out to enjoy delicious barbecue, watch a battle between bands, ride on a mechanical bull and look through all the goodies available at the market. The event got its start back in 2015 to support the Keller Senior Activities Center, and it has now become a community celebration that people look forward to all year long. So don't miss your chance to participate in activities like the BBQ corn hole tournament and enjoy treats from the BBQ cook-off!
26th Annual Southlake Carroll Craft Fair
Get an early start to holiday shopping at the 26th annual Southlake Carroll Craft Fair. Locals can come out to Carroll Senior High School from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday to browse the variety of booths. Everything from jewelry to crafts to home décor to specialty foods will be available for purchase. There is an admission fee, $5 for adults and $3 for children, and those proceeds will benefit the PTO's Project Graduation, which provides a drug- and alcohol-free celebration for graduating seniors each year.
City of Highland Village Parks and Recreation Fall Festival
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Unity Park, locals can fall into the new season and honor veterans at the City of Highland Village Parks and Recreation Fall Festival. The free family-festival will include live music from a Dave Matthews tribute band, carnival games, face painting, bounce houses, pony rides and so much more. The Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the Denton County Veterans Coalition to raise funds and support for Denton County veterans and their families. So you can feel good about supporting a good cause while enjoying a day full of fun.
Need to get in one more spooky night? Come out to the fifth annual Ghosts of Southlake Pasts tours at Hood Cemetery. Early settlers, outlaws and Civil War soldiers will come to life as locals walk through the grounds. You are sure to learn more about the city's past while also getting in one last Halloween thrill. Tours will be held at 4:30 and 6 p.m., with each lasting about 40 minutes, and admission is $10 for children ages 3-18, $10 for ages 62 and older and $15 for adults.
Get active while also playing with some adorable doggos at Puppy Yoga at Texas Live! On Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m., locals can come out to explore Texas Live! while also enjoying their food, drinks and games. The class itself will be held at the Arlington Backyard venue space within the district. Just bring your own mat and water, and get ready to do yoga alongside some adorable puppies – all of which are adoptable through the Humane Society of North Texas. Tickets run $25 per person, and space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon.
