After two months of business, Big Beat Dallas has announced it’s closing its doors by the end of the day through social media. The mixed-use complex included five restaurants and bars – Bar Manzanilla, Highway 61 South, Texas Jam House and Marketplace, Martini Ranch and Texas C-Bar – as well as seven live music stages, which set it up to be an emerging entertainment hub for Las Colinas locals.
“We are disappointed to learn that Billy Bob Barnett and his team have decided to close their concept,” said Noah Lazes, president of ARK Group and developer of Toyota Music Factory, in a press release. “The concept Barnett built is high quality and well designed. Unfortunately, even the most successful entertainment districts can have tenant turnover.”
While Big Beat suddenly announced its closure on Facebook – in a post that has since been taken down, Toyota Music Factory is telling its customers to rest assured that the space will continue to thrive.
There are still 20 other restaurants that will remain open adjacent to Toyota Music Factory. And three new restaurants will soon join the restaurant scene: Nosh & Bottle Market, Kitchen 101 and Violet Room.
“Concerts, restaurants and movies at Toyota Music Factory have been doing quite well and business at the project has been strong,” Lazes said. “Given that we have already received numerous calls from other strong restaurant operators inquiring about the space, we are confident that it will be activated again in short order.”
So if you never got a chance to check out the multi-restaurant concept, you have until midnight to try out Big Beat. Or, you can venture over to the area's 20 other bustling restaurant options.
