Chick-fil-A is about to get an expensive makeover in Southlake.
According to the Department of Licensing and Regulation, the fast-food restaurant at 2301 E. Southlake Blvd. will undergo a $500,000 renovation starting on June 1. The renovations include extending the drive-thru cockpit area and adding an additional exterior door, as well as new restaurant equipment and structural support.
The renovation is part of a $38.4 million initiative by the franchise to open new restaurants and improve existing locations. Until then, locals still have a few months left to grab their favorite chicken sandwiches and waffle fries before renovations begin.
