Del Frisco's Grille-Fort Worth Celebrated North Texas Giving Day by Presenting Fort Worth Chapter of Bike MS with Check From DFW Del Frisco's Grilles' Craft Burger Wars
WHO: In conclusion of the Craft Burger Wars, hosted by North Texas Del Frisco’s Grilles in celebration of National Burger Month during May 2015, Del Frisco’s Grille- Fort Worth’s General Manager Kenneth Davis and Executive Chef Cody Lynch presented Development Specialist Lily Goldstucker with a check for $500 for Bike MS, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s cycling event chapter, on North Texas Giving Day on September 17. Throughout the month of May, the Del Frisco’s Grille locations in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Southlake competed against each other to sell the most unique, location-specific burgers, with $1 of each burger sale going to a local charity chosen by the restaurant. For the Craft Burger Wars, Del Frisco’s Grille-Fort Worth sold the “Prime Beef Habanero Compadre Burger,” featuring two prime beef patties stacked with Quick Pickled Honey Habanero Pepper, Wild Arugula, Jalapeno Jack Cheese, and a creamy Chipotle Aioli to balance out the Habanero, served on a Brioche burger. This spicy burger helped Del Frisco’s Grille-Fort Worth raise $500 for Bike MS, while General Manager Kenneth Davis and the Del Frisco’s Grille-Fort Worth team rallied behind the participants in the Sam’s Club Bike MS Race in Fort Worth on May 2 and 3. On North Texas Giving Day on September 17, the Fort Worth chapter of Bike MS received their winnings, which will be used by the organization to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS in Texas and raise funds for critical MS research.

About the National MS Society: The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now—to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn't. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS through our 50-state network of chapters. The Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
About Bike MS: Bike MS raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. Each Bike MS ride is unique and extraordinary. Pedal through the coastal towns of New England. Ride through closed off streets of New York City. Or finish 150 miles of fun at the largest bike MS event in the country, the BP MS 150, from Houston to Austin, Texas. With 100 rides from 15 to 150 miles all over the country, there’s a ride for everyone. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers and donors have raised over $1 billion so people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what’s been lost and end MS forever
