Delucca Gaucho Pizza will be dishing out a lot more pizzas this fall as it opens its second DFW location. The Rodizo de Pizza concept, a rotating selection of pies served in a similar format to Brazilian steakhouses, will be expanding east and heading to Dallas.
It will join the Design District foodie scene in an ultra-sleek environment and stand alongside other contemporary projects, like the anticipated Virgin Hotel scheduled to open in 2019.
“We were looking for a space with lots of character and it was love at first sight when we saw the place,” says owner and chef Evandro Caregnato. “The space is very unique and it will look terrific with the open kitchen showing the wood-fired oven. Besides that, we believe the area has the perfect demographic for the concept and the area will keep growing and improving.”
Evandro, who owns Delucca with his wife, credits the Southlake community for its rapid success.
“Honestly, we were not 100 percent sure that the concept of sampling unlimited gourmet pizzas rodizio style would be well accepted. But since the day we opened our doors, we could tell that it was going to be a hit,” Evandro says. “Every guest was amazed by the whole idea and since then, we could not be more pleased with the word of mouth and repeated guests.”
And the Design District isn't the only community the two have had their eyes on.
“We have plans to open locations in Fort Worth and North Dallas within a year,” Evandro says. “There are also some opportunities in Houston and Orlando that we are considering.”
But until the new location opens its doors, or to enjoy these gourmet pies closer to home, book a table at the Southlake pizza destination.
