Cultures will collide on Wednesday as Brio Tuscan Grille in Southlake hosts a five-course meal centered around South African cuisine. The event will feature wine and food pairings.
“Our Chef Kyle grew up on a wild game farm with his parents,” says special events coordinator Michelle Kapin. “So he's very familiar with the kinds of meats that aren't typical. This isn't Italian, it's not something we do every day at the restaurant, which makes it unique.”
Starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, guests will be greeted with hors d'oeuvres of cheeses, meats and dried fruits specifically paired with select wines from Brio's vast collection. This is followed by the five-course meal in which the sommelier, Kim Schuld explains the intricacies of each wine and why it was chosen. Chef Kyle will take a break from preparing each intriguing dish to discuss its origin and other delectable facts about the food.
As of this afternoon, there are still 10 spots available. The cost is $85 per person for the entire event. Contact Michelle Kapin at 817.310.2460 or email sout.banquet@bbrg.com to reserve your spot.
Brio Tuscan Grille has served up high-quality Italian food to Southlake residents for over 11 years. Southlake Style readers recently voted the restaurant “Best Atmosphere” in our Best of Brunch issue in May.
