Over 30 Tarrant County restaurants will participate in North Texas' largest culinary event next month, and 10 of them will be local.
For the past 26 years, DFW Restaurant Week has raised nearly $12 million for local charities, including $1 million in 2019 alone. Every meal purchased will donate 20% of the proceeds to Lena Pope, a Fort Worth-based nonprofit that supports mental and behavioral health for children and families.
"With DFW Restaurant Week being one of our largest annual fundraisers, we urge the community to seize the opportunity to dine out and become a supporter to help ensure our mission echoes for generations to come," Dr. Ashley Elgin, chief executive officer at Lena Pope, says.
Attending restaurants offer three-course prix fixe dinners for $39 or $49, with some offering two-course lunch or brunch meals for $24 or $29. Those restaurants include Southlake's Del Frisco's Grille, Kirby's Prime Steakhouse, and Moxie's Grill & Bar, as well as Colleyville's Next Bistro and Roanoke's The Classic Cafe. Grapevine restaurants include Bacchus Kitchen + Bar, Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse, Ferrari's Italian Villa & Chop House and Mac's on Main.
DFW Restaurant Week will run Aug. 7-13, with an optional extension lasting until Sept. 3. To see which other restaurants around the area will be participating, visit LenaPope.org/DFWRestaurantWeek.
