We paid abrvisit to Pie Five in mid-October, several weeks after its opening day (it's thebr12th DFW-area location). The restaurant, located on SouthlakebrBoulevard near Dragon Stadium, immediately became a winner in our book with itsbrvariety of options — although you can build your own meal, there’s also anbrassortment of menu items you can select. We chose the Margherita (romabrtomatoes, minced garlic, basil, olive oil and parmesan on artisan thin crust)brand the Athenian (chicken, kalamata olives, red onions, banana peppers, minced garlic,brolive oil, basil, sun-dried tomato puree and feta), each priced at $6.79. Otherbrhandcrafted customer faves include the Five Star (packed with pepperoni, beefbrand pork sausage) and the Farmer’s Market (a veggie-lover’s dream withbrmushrooms, red and green peppers, red onions, spinach, roasted tomatoes andbrTuscan marinara). The best part about Pie Five? Every pizza takes the pie-techbrexperts just five minutes to make.
If you'rebrin the mood for something lighter, you'll love Pie Five's specialty saladsbrserved in their famous pizza-crust bowls — we recommend the spinach saladbrtopped with apple-cider vinaigrette or the Asian salad that comes dressed withbrsesame ginger.
