Starting on Thursday, February 28 and going until Sunday, March 17, Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill will be teaming up with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer.
Both North Texas locations – Toyota Music Factory in Irving and Glade Parks Town Center in Euless – will offer a special St. Patrick’s Day drink menu. A few of its featured cocktails – the Irish whiskey flight, the Irish old fashioned and the Irish mule – will include a $2 donation to St. Baldrick’s. Both locations will also have a designated spot on its checks for those who are interested in adding a donation to their bill, which will go directly to the foundation. People can also make a donation online.
“We are proud to partner and raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a great organization who is now the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants,” John Plew, CEO of Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, says via press release. “With your generous support, we will conquer childhood cancer.”
In the past seven years, the Portland-based gastropub has raised more than $276,000 for the foundation, and it hopes to give even more in 2019.
