A new Asian-inspired steakhouse is delivering sizzling, savory flavors in the heart of Dallas’ Koreatown. Created by Smoothie King CEO Wan Kim, Nuri Grill offers high-quality cocktails, cuisine and barbecue in an intimate and upscale setting.
“No expense has been spared for Nuri and our guest experience,” Wan says via press release. “Since moving to Dallas in 2018, I’ve wanted to bring a unique dining experience to the city but also provide an approachable menu for those who may not be familiar with Korean [and] Asian-inspired finer dining destinations.”
Led by husband-and-wife chef duo Minji Kim and Ben Lee, Nuri Grill incorporates Korean ingredients into familiar dishes, having something for every diner that walks through its doors.
“We are sourcing incredibly high-quality ingredients but also keeping our price points very reasonable so we can entertain guests willing to drive from all over the Metroplex,” Minji says via press release.
Nuri Grill has Asian-inspired libations that help start the night off like the Matcha Mai Tai, made with Kuleana Huihui Light Hawaiian Rum, Kasama-aged Filipino Rum, lime, pineapple, almond orgeat and matcha powder. The EastTX Old Fashioned is another favorite that is prepared with Shibui Japanese Whiskey, Balcones Pot Still Bourbon and Sichuan bitters. The steakhouse also serves up a variety of sakes such as the Kamoizumi Nigori “Summer Snow” and the Otokoyama Kitano Inaho Daiginjo “Jewel of the North” and tea selections including Earl Grey, Jasmine, Egyptian Chamomile and Sencha.
Shareables like the crab fritters and the crispy pork belly help build up your appetite, but the fun really begins when you come to the main course. Interactive grills are fired up at every table so guests can grill whichever protein they desire. Steak lovers will salivate at the chateaubriand or prime New York strip, while lighter dishes include the marinated steak salad and the Seoul Farm, a Korean quinoa bowl with mushroom, sesame seed and gochujang. And if you love ending the meal with something sweet, Nuri Grill offers two options in Earl Grey Creme Brulee and yogurt ice cream.
Whether it’s for a date night or an evening catching up with friends, you won’t regret dining out at Nuri Grill.
“Ben and I are thrilled to get back into the kitchen and bring a taste of our hometown and culture to Dallas diners,” Minji says via press release.
