According to its website, "Shannon Chocolate Stout is exactly what the name suggests—a rich, subtly sweet, lightly hopped ale — satisfying and perfectly balanced. Our milk stout is brewed to have a deeper, almost black hue that surprises the drinker with its wonderful chocolate aroma, a slightly sweet first taste and a complex rewarding finish. Our fire-brewed process delicately caramelizes the sugars in the dark wort and accentuates the malty flavors in the roasted barley and chocolate malts. The addition of raw cocoa nibs during fermentation impart subtle chocolaty aromas that make this stout a year-round treat.
"Shannon Irish Red has a beautiful deep copper hue associated with fine Crystal Malts. This ale also has a wonderful malty start, a gentle hop aroma and crisp clean finish. Our red ale has aromatic hints of baking raisin bread — satisfying and perfectly balanced. Shannon Irish Red is our nod to Saint Patrick, the most recognized patron saint of Ireland. Just in case you are curious, we will NEVER brew a green beer."
