Wine And Dine
Cork & Pig Is Ready To Court Southlake Diners.
If you want a great meal paired with an exceptional wine experience, get ready to indulge at Cork & Pig.
Opening its fifth location at the Shops of Southlake, Cork & Pig’s name reflects the aspects of dining it wholeheartedly celebrates. “We wanted a name that embraced both food and wine,” says John Nestor, Cork & Pig’s vice president and chief financial officer.
“We really try to take that American cuisine and cater to everybody that is looking for a fun dining environment and a great dining experience.”
Before you dig in, start the night off with one of Cork & Pig’s signature cocktails. The Buzz is mixed with Western Son gin, lemon juice, martine honeysuckle liqueur and lavender bitters while the Molly Ringwald cosmo is a combination of strawberry and raspberry-infused Nue vodka with cranberry juice and agave. Of course, Cork & Pig also has plenty of white or red wine to choose from, like the Toschi Vineyards moscato or the Alexana pinot noir, ensuring your libation perfectly complements your meal.
Shareables like the deviled eggs with bacon or the crab and Parmesan cheese dip will begin your meal on a delicious note before a menu filled with handmade American entrees awaits.
“We are American cuisine,” John says. “Everything we do is made from scratch, and then we have a wonderful variety of options from pizza to sandwiches to salads to even wood-fired entrees.”
Harkening to its name, the double-cut pork chop comes topped with bourbon sauce while the Carolina pork ribs feature house-made mustard barbecue sauce. Meanwhile, sandwiches like the crispy chicken with cheddar, brussels sprout slaw and red onion, and the French dip with shaved prime rib, gruyere and au jus, will ensure you don’t leave hungry.
Pizza fans will also love The Pig, which showcases Italian sausage, pepperoni, pancetta on top of mozzarella and tomato sauce, and the Southwestern, which features roasted green chiles, pepperoni, mozzarella and cream sauce.
Whether you stop in for lunch, happy hour or a family dinner, Cork & Pig caters to diners of all kinds.
“We’re just really excited about the opportunity in Southlake,” John says.
