We made it to spring break! Treat your kids to a fun weekend to kick off their week off by checking out one of these family-friendly activities.
Does your preschooler love cars? Whether they get excited by the rumble of an engine or just love watching their wheels turn, they can get up close to the action at Cars, Trucks and Me! on Friday at 9:30 a.m. Come out to the Southlake Activity Center for a morning of fun with your little one. Your child can build his own car and race it to the finish line. There will also be plenty of full-sized trucks there for your child to look at. This program is designed for children ages three to five.
One of the most famous cartoon characters in the world is coming to DFW. Check out Mickey Mouse in Disney's Fantasia: Live in Concert playing at the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. They will be playing live performances from the soundtrack and scenes during shows Friday to Sunday. Don’t miss your chance to see the mouse during his first concert at 2:30 p.m. Your kids of all ages will love this multi-sensory show.
For a dynamic show that will wow your children, check out Cirque Italia at the North East Mall. Starting on Friday at 7:30 p.m., the exciting group will present their newest and greatest creation – Aquatic Spectacular. The water performance is pure circus gold. Plus, they offer special prices for children, so it won't break the bank to take the whole family out to enjoy the show.
We don't want to jinx it, but it feels like spring has officially sprung! Take advantage of the weather by stopping by Unleavened Fresh Kitchen on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. for a complimentary coffee and walk around Town Square with Mayor Laura Hill. She will be sharing some of her tips for leading an active lifestyle and how to stay motivated when on the course.
Take time to party with your kids at this weekend's Taste Buds Kitchen's Tea Party Workshop. On Saturday at 10:00 a.m., you can create melt-in-your-mouth Strawberry Shortcakes with hand-whipped cream with your little ones. And while those are baking, enjoy some freshly brewed sun tea. Feel free to come in your most festive tea party attire.
