The weather is looking good and this weekend's festival lineup is looking even better. Enjoy the sunshine by taking your family to one of these fun three-day events. Or, better yet, see if you can stop by a few to really make the most out of your weekend.
The 34th annual Main Street Fest is back and bigger than ever. This year, there will still be all of the rides and kids activities guests have come to expect, but there will also be more to do and taste for the adults. The three-day festival landed on Craft Brew Week this year, so Main Street Fest is offering guests the opportunity to get the “Texperience” more than 75 different brews. Parents and kids alike will leave the festival grounds with a smile.
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of this local golf tournament by taking your family out to this year's AT&T Byron Nelson. There will be plenty of food and drink options to choose from as you sit back and watch the pros at work. Local favorite Jordan Spieth will be out showing off his skills to his hometown fans. He may just inspire your kids to pick up the sport for themselves.
For a whole lot of music, grub and fun, head east to experience Taste Addison 2018. The three-day festival will bring out a multitude of restaurants wanting to show off their stuff. And for the kids, check out the Taste Addison Carnival. Their activities include a zero gravity zone and a monkey maze, which will make your kids go bananas. All of the festival's rides are listed at $3 and up. And the carnival only accepts Tasty Bucks, so be sure to head to that booth before getting in line for a ride.
Wildflower Arts & Music Festival
For a music-filled weekend, head over to Wildflower Arts & Music Festival this weekend. The grounds will be jamming out to live music all weekend long. But, be sure to check by the WF! Kids section. Your children can experience a butterfly display, show off their skills during karaoke, get their faces painted and create some fun art pieces. And with beverage booths and a stacked lineup, everyone will want to stay a bit longer at this fun-filled event.
For a wild day out in Fort Worth, head over to Beastro at the Fort Worth Zoo. The day will include grub from some of the area's finest restaurants offering up sample appetizers, mains and desserts. There will also be an open bar throughout the park as well as live music, so there will be plenty of entertainment all around. Also, the festival is on the zoo grounds, so your kids will love walking from exhibit to exhibit seeing all of the animals. And it all goes to support the Zoo's local and international wildlife conservation and education efforts, so you can feel good about coming out.
