Foodies will flock to Fort Worth this weekend for a fantastic four-day culinary venture, the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival. Both local and regional chefs will be participating in the fifth annual event that supports the Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation.
Starting April 5 and running until April 8, there will be plenty of delicious events featuring flavors from all over the Metroplex. The weekend kicks off on Thursday night with Tacos + Tequila, a brand new event for the festival that has already sold out. The minds behind Salsa Limon, Taco Heads and Del Norte Tacos will be serving up a few of their favorites.
On Friday, the Main Event will feature chefs like Jon Bonnell from Bonnell's Fine Texas Cusine, Robert Lyford from Patina Green Home and Market, Molly McCook from Ellerbe Fine Foods, Ben Marritt from Fixture and many more. The fun carries into the night with Dessert After Dark. Expect to try sweets from Stir Crazy Baked Goods, Sweet Lucy's Pies, Hurley House and JOY Macarons.
Brunch upon brunch will be available at Rise + Dine on Saturday. Whether you are a fan of pizza from Cane Rosso or want to try out one of FunkyTown Donuts' creations, there will be plenty to choose from. Plus, they will be offering up some great refreshments from their local vendors. And then guests can move onto heartier dishes at Burgers, Brews + Blues. On Sunday, guests will be able to try out some classic Texas barbeque, beer, wine and spirits at the Pitmasters Picnic.
No one will leave Fort Worth hungry this weekend. Whether you stop by one of the events or splurge for the Weekender Pass that gets you into all of these foodie events, you are sure to have a great time getting their grub on. Be sure to leave the kids at home for this one. Those under the age of 21 will not be permitted entrance to any of these events, regardless if they are serving alcohol.
