Kroger is kicking-off Cinco de Mayo with a four-week Latin flavors event. Customers are invited to experience savory Latin cuisine and explore the vibrant world of Latin flavors waiting for them at Kroger.
When it comes to grocery shopping, Southlake has the market covered with Central Market, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts and Whole Foods amongst many others. Not to be outdone in the flavor department, Kroger is kicking off Cinco de Mayo with a four-week Latin flavors event.
"This event is a celebration of a culture and flavors that inspires togetherness and a passion for food," says Dan De La Rosa, Kroger's vice president of fresh merchandising. "We hope to curate an experience that promises to spark a new culinary adventure, making Latin American recipes approachable no matter your skill level and introduce new foods, spices and products we know customers will love."
Customers can look forward to a complete Latin takeover at Kroger with plenty of opportunities for sampling, including these delicious recipes that can easily be recreated at home:
- Yucatecan Chicken Tacos — A recipe full of Latin flavor that will have everyone asking for seconds.
- Empanadas with pork and potatoes or picadillo — This is a crispy Latin American staple made easy using refrigerated dough.
- Garlic Lime Fajitas — With Kroger Mercado thin-sliced meat, these fajitas are quick, flavorful and sure to be a family favorite.
- Grilled Mexican Street Corn —Ready in less than 20 minutes, this heat-packing dish could not be easier.
From Tres Leches cake slices, fresh guacamole and salsas to street taco kits featuring carne asada, Kroger will have fresh Latin-themed foods in store and online leading up to Cinco de Mayo.
