Dallas' Lower Greenville is full of dynamic restaurant and nightlife options. And now, a new modern American bar has been added to the strip. Laurel Tavern will open its doors on May 23, and it’s sure to quickly become a summer sensation. With premium patio seating, a cozy interior and mouthwatering dishes, it’s the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to time and time again.
Laurel Tavern prides itself on creating approachable food daily from scratch to make sure everything comes out at its best. All of their locally sourced items, like their breads, which are sourced from local bakers, and their burger patties, which are a proprietary blend that's ground in-house and hand formed every day, prove Laurel's team puts a great deal of effort into everything that comes out of their kitchen to ensure a quality dining experience.
For a sweeter, savory starter, order up the Pork Belly Skewers, served with a maple glaze, lime and cilantro. To get a feel for their distinct menu, try the Duck Club made with duck confit, smoked bacon, pickled green tomato and cherry mustard. And with a wide selection of signature burgers – from their Laurel Burger topped with farmhouse white cheddar, caramelized onion, shredded lettuce, dill pickle and honey mustard to their Jalapeno Burger topped with jalapenos, Poblano, pepper jack cheese, onion rings and chipotle sauce – everyone can find something to savor.
Their drink menu is also crafted to impress. Whether you want to try something new and ask the bartender to make the week's featured cocktail or build your own mule with your preference of the bar's different spirits, there's something for you lurking on the menu just waiting to be enjoyed.
Co-owners Jonny Valenti and Michael Leko brought the elevated gastropub concept over from Southern California to Dallas after visiting the area on a social visit. They now are excited to become a hub for locals' social experiences.
“We can be the place people eat multiple times a week. We are consistent. We aren't reinventing the wheel here, just doing it the right way and hopefully doing it well,” Leko said via press release. “This is a culmination of a group of friends working together for 20 years in the business and of us striving to provide the best food, drink, hospitality program we can.”
Try it out for yourself after it opens its doors next week.
