Pairing scratch cooking with smoky flavors, Firebirds made its mark on the local foodie scene after opening in Grapevine in February. Now, it continues to attract guests thanks to its elevated menu and stacked bar program.
The smell of dishes sizzling over an open flame hits guests as soon as they pass the host’s stand. After browsing the leather-bound menu and selecting a tempting appetizer – like the lobster spinach queso or seared ahi tuna – diners will start to see they’re in for a flavorful dining experience.
With plenty of wood-grilled protein options like the 21-day-aged sirloin butchered in-house or expertly charred wood-grilled salmon, there’s plenty of smoky favorites to go around.
“Firebirds takes pride in its scratch kitchen, offering bold flavors and hand-cut, aged steaks and fresh seafood,” senior director of communications Eleni Kouvatsos says.
While there are more delicate dishes available like the Chilean sea bass served with key lime butter sauce, bolder dishes are difficult to pass up. The Tomahawk pork chop, served with hot honey and pico, combines hearty and fresh flavors, and the slow-roasted prime rib acts as the ideal comfort dish for those looking for a generous plate.
After opening the first Firebirds location in the Metroplex about two years ago, Eleni says the team was excited to continue growing its footprint within the area — and Grapevine fit the bill for the franchise’s next destination.
“Grapevine’s like a small town oasis within a huge metropolis. It offers everything from a tight-knit hometown feel to a tourism destination,” Eleni says. “We’re so excited to be part of the neighborhood here.”
This Firebirds location offers distinct perks specific to Grapevine — like the FIREBAR expanded bar program, which features 45 new spirits, 16 new bourbons, six new ryes, five new international whiskeys and three American whiskeys. Firebirds also offers happy hour, brunch and has a private dining room ready to host memorable events. Because food tastes better when served in a relaxing environment and surrounded by good people.
“The only thing better than the atmosphere and the food is the people, and I’m proud that we have the best people this industry has to offer,” Eleni says.
