
The former owners of the beloved Picasso's Pizza & Grill are moving on to their next pizza venture in Plano.
With 40-plus years of restaurant experience, Andrew and Jennifer Albert have been serving their famous "Dallas-style" pizza since 1991. With hand-sliced Wisconsin mozzarella, California plum tomatoes and cutting-edge cooking technology that can prepare deep-dish pizzas in a shorter baking time, Andrew's American Pizza Kitchen aims to serve several pizzas all under one umbrella, including New York, Chicago and Detroit-style pizzas.
"Pizza is a staple in America," Andrew says via media release. "The more I started to study different varieties of pizza, the more I saw that people had preferences for different styles, crusts and float profiles. No one was offering more than one or two types of crust or styles of pizza. We are creating a restaurant that features truly authentic pizza representing the best styles of pizza in the United States.”
