Your new favorite date-night spot has officially opened its doors in Southlake. Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine is a rodizio de pizza – a concept that is extremely popular in Brazil and resembles a churrascarias steak house’s service. Delucca will be serving up a wide variety of gourmet pizzas – made in wood-burning ovens – and much more for a set price. After taking a seat in the sleek dining room, diners will enjoy charcuterie and antipasto platters, seasonal greens, fire-roasted vegetables and lobster bisque to start. Then, the fun begins when they flip their pizza card over to green and the selection of pies start pouring in.
Their daily pies will circulate through the room and fill the plates, and stomachs, of guests. There's no way you can leave hungry with these delicious options, such as roasted pears with gorgonzola and honey, Turkish Lamb Pizza, Hot Sopressata with candied bacon, Brazilian hearts of palm, to name a few. And while there are so many savory slices to choose from, you'll want to leave room for dessert. With ingredients like Nutella, flambé bananas, dulce de leche, coconut and mascarpone with fresh blackberries, you won't be able to stop yourself from trying something new. And you get all that – the starters, the savory pizzas, the desserts – for a fixed price of $18.95.
To elevate your experience, make sure to try the Caipirinha, the delicious Brazilian national cocktail made with cachaça, fresh lime and sugar cane. The wine list is thought out with terrific selections from various regions of the world that are surprisingly well priced. Or, sip on the sangria to match the swanky feel of the South Brazilian-inspired culinary options while rhythmic Bossa Nova music fills the room.
Even though this new restaurant has a rather sophisticated ambiance, it is still kid friendly. Children have the same options as adults, but for a discounted price, so it's an affordable option to show the entire family a great night out on the town.
Owners and husband-and-wife duo Evandro Caregnato and Didi Mallmann know a thing or two about the industry. After helping establish one of the largest churrascarias chains in the country from the ground up and traveling the world opening restaurants, they decided to follow their hearts and open up the first rodizio pizza place in the country.
So come meet the pair and taste their food. They are taking reservations for large parties, including reservations for groups on Easter Sunday. They will be open all day serving up delicious pies. Call and book your table today. Or visit their website, Delucca.com, for more information.
