Eatzi’s Market and Eatery debuted its first airport location at DFW Airport in Terminal D earlier this month.
Veering from the typical 5,000 to 10,000-square-foot storefront in Grapevine, Fort Worth, Dallas and Plano, the new 2,080-square-foot restaurant offers entrees specifically designed for the on-the-go customer. Aside from serving pre-made meals for passengers in a hurry, Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” technology allows Amazon One customers to enter the store, gather their selected items and walk out without waiting in a checkout line. Sensors and cameras help track real-time shopping and detect which items are taking and charge the customer’s card on their Amazon One account.
For flyers with plenty of time on their hands, the eatery also includes its signature create-your-own classic salads and sandwiches, alongside an array of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. It is also the first Eatzi’s to offer a full-service bar for customers.
