Everyone has found themselves hungry inside a convenience store before, grabbing a quick bite to eat and dashing out to the next destination. But if you’re looking for a more elegant pitstop filled with inspired options, you’ll find Fig & Favor in Dallas to be a place you’ll want to stay a while.
Opening the doors to Fig & Favor feels like opening the doors to your own pantry. Employing a modern aesthetic of distressed woods, brushed nickel and white and green tones, the 1,000-square-foot store is designed with rustic charm in mind.
“It’s more than just your typical marketplace,” design director Melinda Clark says. “We designed the space to feel intimate, fresh and cozy, as though you’ve left Dallas and found yourself in a corner shop on a charming street in Bordeaux, France.”
Chips and hot dogs don’t cut it here. Fig & Favor’s culinary offerings include a variety of refreshing hand-made goods, including salads, sandwiches and pastas. The front counter has beautiful pastries, desserts and macarons on display, as well as a full gelato bar that serves up even more European flavor. Not hungry? No problem — Fig & Favor also offers eclectic and inspired meal kits you can whip up at home.
Can’t find the fountain drinks? That’s OK, because their baristas whip up delicious beverages for you. The espresso bar brews fresh coffee drinks such as cortados and cafe au laits, as well as London Fog tea and chai latte. All-natural syrup is used to make Italian soda in-house. And if you’re looking for something a little more high dollar, Fig & Favor offers an international wine program that offers bottles everywhere from Italy to Latin America. You can even send three to 12 sommelier-selected bottles to your doorstep with one of their monthly wine club memberships.
Whether you like a refreshing snack, a meal to go or a fine bottle of wine, Fig & Favor is the minimarket for your fancy fixings.
