After 10 years of business, TRIO New American will be closing its doors by the end of the week. Executive chef Jason Harper opened the Colleyville restaurant in 2009 and created seasonal menus focusing on fresh ingredients from an array of cultures.
Now, Harper will act as the Chef De Cuisine for Richard Sandoval Group at the new Toro Toro Pan Latin Steakhouse + Lounge at The Worthington Renaissance in downtown Fort Worth, opening in November 2019. The menu will feature charcoal and wood-grilled steaks and seafood as well as sharable plates of ceviche, skewered meats and empanadas.
“Toro Toro Fort Worth will be a destination fueled with Latin fire and passion that also embraces the city’s cowboy legacy, historic architecture, dynamic arts and entertainment scene, and toasts its champions of industry. I love Fort Worth’s pioneer spirit,” Sandoval says via press release.
This will be the sixth Toro Toro and the third Richard Sandoval concept in Texas – two in Austin and one in Houston.
For those sad to see the beloved restaurant close, you can still experience Harper’s creations through TRIO’s catering business. We will be showcasing a special menu of Harper’s at our fourth annual Women’s Luncheon!
