GRACE Gala – The Black Tie Event Kicks Off
Auction Gifting Party at BRIO Tuscan Grille of Southlake
GRACE kicked off Northeast Tarrant County’s ‘Black Tie Event of the Year’ with an auction gifting party sponsored by BRIO of Southlake. “This week’s mixer was fantastic with great gifts donated for our Gala auction, lovely people coming together to celebrate, and our amazing hosts, Stephanie and Tommy Pennington and Laura Grosskopf,” said GRACE Executive Director Shonda Schaefer.
The 2012 GRACE Gala - Angels Among Us – will be at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas on Saturday, October 13. “From the exciting buzz at the auction party, we can tell that the attendance for this year’s event will be at an all-time high,” said Schaefer. “It is going to be an incredible evening of celebration and giving back.”
The GRACE Gala nets more than $350,000 which directly benefits residents in local communities. “I’m very proud that monies spent at the Gala go to help our neighbors in need. Our staff, volunteers and sponsors work very hard to keep our costs down while finding unique and wonderful ways to lavish our guests in grand style,” said Schaefer.
The Gala supports GRACE programming that provides assistance to individuals and families in crisis as well as the guidance needed to reach self-sufficiency. “The economy has been hard on many of us but has been devastating and even worse for many of our neighbors. We have had to work harder and find ways to sustain the agency through these economic trials, as our clients come to us seeking help to reach that light at the end of their dark tunnel.
“The GRACE Gala provides a way that we can come together to celebrate each other as we help GRACE help our neighbors in their time of need. Please plan to attend this year’s Gala….let’s rejoice in giving, in helping, in celebrating.” Schaefer said. Tickets are available at GRACE Gala.
