Cindi Cooperman,brco-founder and president of the Neuro Assistance Foundation, was inspired whenbrshe learned the spinal cord injured community was living without basicbrequipment, making the simplest aspects of daily life significantly morebrcomplicated. “I am inspired every day by the people we help and I consider itbran honor to provide support to those living with paralysis,” Cooperman said viabrpress release.
Last year, about 1,500 peoplebrparticipated in the Hot Hatch Chile Run, Walk & Roll. Proceeds from thebrevent were dedicated to paralyzed adults and children in the community bybrpurchasing items such as ramps, wheelchairs and vehicle modifications.
“This fundraiser not onlybrprovides funding for our programs, but it also shows all participants that thebrhuman will is unbreakable,” Cooperman said. “I hope someday there will be abrcure for spinal cord injuries, but until then, NAF will continue to help thosebraffected to improve their quality of life.”
