Taylor Swift's reputation has only grown since her last tour in 2018. The Eras Tour, which begins this month, will mark her sixth headlining tour, and fans have literally broken the internet for the chance to see her live. After the release of her re-recorded albums “Fearless” and “Red,” Taylor debuted her 10th studio album “Midnights,” selling over 6 million units worldwide. Describing her new tour as “a journey through the musical eras of [her] career,” fans will hear all of their favorite songs from the past and present together.
Selling an estimated 114 million albums worldwide and having 11 consecutive No. 1 albums on the U.S. Billboard 200, Taylor became the first artist to have five albums sell more than a million copies during release week. This is thanks to her powerful lyrics from songs like “Love Story,” “BlankSpace,” “Bad Blood,” “Wildest Dreams” and “Anti-Hero.” Taylor’s fanbase is loyal and passionate, and her live performances have been hailed as some of the best in the industry.
After a five-year tour hiatus, Swifties created an unprecedented demand for tickets to her concerts, causing Ticketmaster's servers to crash. Tickets sold out in minutes, and prices skyrocketed on resale sites like Stub Hub where prices are currently $500-plus for nosebleed tickets and $2,500-plus for floor seats. Taylor Swift's tour will include 52 shows at NFL stadiums starting in March and finishing in August, making her tour even more impressive.
Fans should also be excited to meet a new era of artists, because Taylor Swift has a history of surrounding herself with remarkably talented opening acts like Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran, who will be filling AT&T Stadium himself on May 6th. The setlist will feature hits from her entire discography, showcasing her growth as an artist and songwriter over the years, ranging from her country roots to her pop sound. So come and shake it off with Taylor. We’re sure you know the feeling all too well.
