
If you are already eager for Easter, you can start celebrating this weekend! We also have a few ideas for those who aren't quite ready for Easter Bunny activities quite yet. With all these events, everyone can find a great activity to attend this weekend!
If you have a child with special needs or disabilities, they won’t miss out on the Easter festivities with Hurst’s Adaptive Egg Hunt. This event, open to children 16 and under, will take place in Central Park in Hurst on April 12 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and won’t just be an egg hunt. There will be a petting zoo, photos with the Easter bunny, face painting and a craft area and inflatables.
If you want to learn about other cultures this weekend, head out to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for their Japanese Spring Festival. This event, taking place on April 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature traditional Japanese dance, martial arts, sword demonstrations, pottery and more. Tickets for children 2 and under are free, $4 for children ages 3 to 15 and adult tickets are $12.
Easter is closing in on us, so get a head start on the festivities by heading out to Southlake’s Easter in the Park on April 13. Happening in North Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., this event will include egg scrambles for different ages, a petting zoo, inflatables, the chance to take pictures with the Easter bunny and plenty of arts and crafts for kids to enjoy. Plus, it’s free!
Calling all pizza lovers! Deep Ellum Art Company is hosting the Dallas Pizza Fest 2019 on April 14 from 12 to 9 p.m. This event is all about pizza, with a pizza eating contest, celebrity pizza chefs, live shows and music and bounce houses for the kids. Tickets for this event are free for kids 8 and under, $7 for kids 15 and under and general admission is $10.
If you don’t want to drive to Hurst for your child to be able to participate in Easter events, look no further than home with Southlake’s Miracle Eggstravaganza. This event will take on Sunday, April 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Texas Rangers Miracle League Field in Bicentennial Park. The Miracle Eggstravaganza will have activities specifically designed for special needs children and their families. From balloon artists and egg hunt to photos with the Easter bunny and sweets for the kids, there is something for everyone.
