That is, until this weekend when Gateway Church closes its musical production of “Annie.” The show, which tells the adventures of the red-headed orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks, runs through this weekend at King’s University at 2121 East Southlake Boulevard. Tickets are $10-$28, and showtimes include 7 p.m. on Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Proceeds will go toward Zoie’s Place, a local organization that helps girls who are aging out of foster care by sheltering them in transitional homes. So don’t miss it, you’ll fall in love with the curly-haired cuties and all of her friends.

Come to Hollywood Feed at 12 p.m. on Saturday at 200 North Kimball Ave., Suite 200 and meet all of the budding bulldogs and learn about some of the biggest bulldog misconceptions from No Borders Bulldog Rescue, which will answer any questions you may have, tell you about their mission and inform you how you can help rescue and rehome bulldogs in need. So come on down to this loveable little lick fest. These bulldogs put the “best” in “man’s best friend.”
The biggest picnic party of the year is happening this weekend over at St. Laurence Church at 519 North Kimball Ave., and you and your family are invited to come out and dine in this festive feast.
