It’s a gathering of stars at the Grapevine Convention Center this weekend, and you’re invited along with several other passionate artists, musicians and belly dancers. Come to the Grapevine Convention Center Friday through Sunday and watch several performers dance and sing the night away in this four-day epic event where you can learn more about Middle Eastern cultures and traditions. Tickets sell from $15 to $75.
It’s time to hop aboard the Grapevine Vintage Road and go on a grand weekend adventure in this pirate-themed joy ride. For $12-14, you’ll get to hop on board Friday morning at 705 South Main St. and enjoy special onboard activities with the little ones dressed up in their colorful pirate costumes and eye patches. You’ll have a buccaneering time on this exquisite one-hour excursion through the city.
Looking to get into the Christmas spirit a little early this year? Join the Christmas Village and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5074 at 2 p.m. on Saturday at 705 North Oak St. in Roanoke. The benefit will feature entertainment, food, raffles and more. Proceeds will go to needy families this holiday, but feel free to get into the festive mood. This is one time where you can get into the spirit out of season.
End your summer with a bang with the MasterWorks series' July concert, featuring the rockabilly-and-roll band the Vinyl Stripes. Jam out with them at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Aria Amphitheater at The Marq as they flood the venue with the '50s and '60s tunes of the era. You’ll feel like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and The Beatles will be there on-stage with you and the Vinyl Stripes.
Cars and Coffee Southlake have settled in nicely at their new location over at Gateway Church at 700 Blessed Way, and they’re inviting you to come out and experience it for yourself! Join the rest of the car and the coffee-loving community at 8 a.m. on Saturday and view all of the colorful cars, makes and models up-close with your own eyes. The event is free for spectators, while drivers pay $10 if you want to show off your snazzy ride.
