Between PAW Patrol Live! and a Celebrate Dr. Seuss party, this weekend is sure to be fun for you and your family. And as a bonus, most of the events happening this weekend are free!
If you have a child that loves PAW Patrol, then be sure to come out to The Theatre at Grand Prairie on March 1 at 6 p.m. to see them live. The PAW Patrol will be going on a pirate adventure where they "discover a secret treasure map while on a mission to rescue Cap’n Turbot from a mysterious cavern," according to the event page. Tickets for PAW Patrol Live! range from $25 to $179 so be sure to get them before they are sold out.
For a fun, easy family activity this weekend, head over to Taste Buds Kitchen Southlake for a Tea Party Workshop. Attendees will learn how to make strawberry shortcakes, whipped cream and sun tea. Tickets are $28 per child with one caregiver and attendees are welcomed to wear tea party attire.
Free Family Movie: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
If a movie is what you're looking for in an event this weekend, come out to the Harkins Theatres Southlake 14 on March 2 for a free family movie. Attendees will watch How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required and there is a limit of 4 tickets per email address but tickets are free.
Sensory Aware Saturday at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
For children with sensory issues, on March 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will be hosting Sensory Aware Saturday. This event will close the museum to the general public and make it sensory friendly with reduced lights and sound, a quiet room available at all times and activities facilitated by therapists. Attendance while free, is limited to 600 guests and registration is required.
Celebrate Dr. Seuss this weekend from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bedford Public Library. This free event will have a variety of family-friendly activities like a petting zoo, a photo booth and crafts for the kids. There will also be food and drinks available and attendees are encouraged to wear a costume.
